Transport of Live Animals (short haul)
Date: Thursday 19th June 2008 (probably last date until the Autumn)
Cost: £86 + VAT for training & test or £50 + VAT for test only

This course has been put together taking into account the new European Animal Welfare Regulations regarding the transport of live animals on ‘short’ journeys (that is over 65km/40 miles but under 8 hours). The course will provide candidates with the necessary knowledge to take the NPTC test for the Certificate of Competence.

Tests can be arranged in conjunction with the training, or on a separate occasion for those who feel able to sit the test without first having done the training. However, it is recommended that candidates undertake the training prior to sitting the test.

Transport of Live Animals (long haul) If you anticipate transporting live animals on journeys over 8 hours long, then you will need to do the Long Haul Certificate. This is understandably more complex and involves a practical assessment. If this is applicable to you, then please speak to the Training Officer to discuss your requirements as there are a number of ways in which we may be able to help.
